Author Guidelines

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR WRITING THE SOCIOLOGY JOURNAL

Purpose and objectives:
The SOSIOLOGI journal is published by the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Lampung, as a medium for disseminating scientific information in the form of research results, scientific papers, reviews, book reviews, and obituaries of scientific figures in the field of social science carried out by writers in the Faculty of Social Sciences Unila and from other authors.

Guidelines for Writing Journal Manuscripts:
1. Journal manuscripts have never been published and will not be published in other print media.
2. The manuscript is typed in Times New Roman letters; 12 point font size; spacing 1; with A4 paper size. Minimum length of manuscript is 12 pages and maximum of 15 pages (including abstract and bibliography)
3. The journal title must be clear, communicative, and informative
4. Journal manuscripts must include the author's bio, and abstracts in Indonesian and English written in a narrative manner. Abstract should be no more than 200 words in length, and should be typed in one space.
5. Journal manuscripts are structured as follows:
a. Title
b. Author
c. Abstract
d. Introduction (background, problems, and objectives)
e. Literature review
f. Research methods
g. Results and Discussion
h. Conclusion
i. Bibliography
6. Journal manuscripts are written in standard Indonesian.
7. The editorial staff has the right to make changes in the journal manuscript without changing the content or purpose of the journal

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. I ensure that the manuscript is original, free of plagiarism.
  2. The manuscript/article has not been published elsewhere and does not submit to other journals during the review process. 
  3. The authorship of the manuscript accurately reflects individual contributions to the work and its reporting.

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors are NOT required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

 

Article Publication: 550.000 (IDR)
Authors are required to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publication costs when the article is accepted for publication.
